Tour Overview
The Real Irish Pub Tour is a three-night guided experience based in Athlone, Ireland. Designed for visitors seeking the Ireland most tourists never see, you’ll visit six carefully selected traditional pubs, meet local characters, enjoy live music sessions and experience genuine Irish hospitality in both town and rural settings.
This is not a pub crawl. It’s a cultural experience centred around Ireland’s pub tradition, storytelling, music and community.
Based in the heart of Ireland, Athlone, Co. Westmeath — just 1 hour 20 minutes from Dublin Airport and perfectly positioned right in the centre of the country, making it the ideal base for your Irish adventure.
About the Tour
Over three nights, you'll visit 6 authentic Irish pubs — 2 each night. Each evening, we'll pick you up in Athlone, visit the first pub, then move on to the second before returning you safely back to Athlone by around midnight.
Tours depart each evening at 5pm and return at approximately midnight. You're free to explore on your own during the day!
